After a month of April that saw a growing number of people involved in our activities and volunteer missions, we're attacking May with even greater enthusiasm.
Before diving into our program, however, I'd like to draw your attention to a news item that's of great concern to us at La Boussole, namely the province's plan to make drug use in the public space a criminal offence once again. On this subject, I invite you to listen to Elody, the President of our Board of Directors, explain on Radio Canada the problems posed by this project in British Columbia.
So let's move on to May, and in particular our focus on Asian Heritage Month, with two highlights on the 7th and 14th (see below) and a dedicated episode of our podcast, À l'horizon.
I'd also like to take a moment to thank the Fondation des Francophones de La Colombie-Britannique, which has granted us funding to help us continue our psychological follow-up program, so dear to our hearts at La Boussole.
Finally, we're recruiting! We have a vacancy opening up in June, to join us as Communications and Advocacy Manager (and thus become the new pen of this newsletter, among other things). To find out more and apply, click here.
