June is National Aboriginal History Month in Canada. For the occasion, we'll be taking a moment to honor Aboriginal cultures and highlight their contributions, past and present.
During this month, we'll also be celebrating an important day for francophones in Canada and British Columbia: Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day. Our organization will be offering a number of activities for our members around the language and traditions of Quebec on the afternoon of Friday June 23 (register at).
More focused on us, this sixth month of the year will welcome a highlight in the life of our organization: our Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on Wednesday June 28! We're calling on all our members to attend and vote on the direction of the organization, validate its activity over the last fiscal year and (re)elect the Board of Directors.
June marks a turning point for our Forum Theatre workshop. After offering this activity to the general public, we're delighted to announce that it's time for the troupe to start rehearsing, and that we now have the dates for the show: book your September 21, 22 and 23 dates!
For the second time in a row, we'll be lucky enough to have a representative from the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction on hand for our members.
And finally, after several weeks of reflection and co-construction, June marks the stabilization of literacy courses for our beneficiaries, giving them greater independence in their approaches.
