Every February, activities and festivities take place across Canada to remember, honor and value the heritage of the Black community. The month of February gave us the opportunity to do just that, by reaffirming our commitment to a more just society, and our attachment to our values of inclusiveness and integrity.
Thanks to our partnership with Alliance Française Vancouver, we offered our members a great program to learn together about Black History.
Firstly, our members were able to attend the showing of the film "Tout simplement Noir" at Studio 16, thanks to preferential rates. They spent a very convivial moment around this pleasant, thought-provoking film, featuring actors from diverse backgrounds.
Next, Alliance Française offered our members a virtual reality exhibition thanks to their Espace V project. The exhibition moved to our premises at 312 Main, to celebrate Black History Month through highly engaging artistic works. Thanks to this unique experience, equipped with their virtual reality headsets, our members were able to travel through space and time, reconnecting with the past and delving into individual and collective stories.
This event was also made possible thanks to the support of 312 Main.
