Helene Rasmussen grew up in the Vancouver area. At the age of 22, she traveled to Quebec, where she fell in love with the French language. She works for an alliance of organizations that offer support programs to newcomers facing multiple barriers.

Between 2013 and 2019, Helene was a member of La Boussole's Board of Directors.

She loves intercultural encounters, dancing, reading and learning languages (Spanish at the moment).
