To mark Black History Month once again this year, La Boussole is organizing two activities designed to bring people together and open them up to different cultures and realities.
First, this Friday, February 10 at 4:00 p.m. at our members' meetingwe'll be holding a discussion focusing on the issues facing black people in British Columbia. During this discussion, we'll also look at existing resources in Vancouver and more widely in British Columbia.
We are also planning an evening screening of short films on Tuesday, February 14 at 5:00 pm. These works, available on the NFB, have been selected by the La Boussole team. These screenings will allow us to learn more about the history of the Black community in Canada, and raise awareness of current realities. Each short film will be followed by a discussion to share the feelings and opinions evoked by the screening.
We hope you'll join us for these activities.
