Mme Florence Debeugny, professional photographer, will be holding a creative workshop that will take place in several parts. For the first part, she will present a short lecture (60 minutes) about photography, introducing basic tips and techniques to the members of La Boussole. The aim is to provide them with the proper knowledge and tools so that they can beautifully capture their daily lives, and reveal them in an artistic way.
To foster learning and creation, members of La Boussole will be invited to let their imagination run free and apply what they have learned. The next part will continue outside where the workshop leader will be available to answer any questions and to supervise. We want everyone to explore their creativity and feel free to take pictures of what is most appealing to them in a setting that they find attractive.
The workshop will then continue with each member getting equipped with a disposable camera with which they can use for a week, capturing their everyday life. We will then have the photos developed and members are invited back to our space to see and discuss the results. Here, there will be a sharing of knowledge and experience through an artistic lens, in this case, photography. As art promotes conversation and sharing, this will not only be an artistic workshop, but also a sharing group offered to Francophones in our community.
